Pictures and videos of Raphael, his dam, half-siblings and sire are below.

Are you looking for your next upper-level dressage horse with an outstanding, amateur friendly temperament? Look no further - each one of our imported St. Pr. Farina (Fabriano/Donnerhall/Lauries Crusador xx) offspring are prized by their owners in US, Germany, Canada!

Raphael is a handsome colt with a lot of presence, has excellent conformation, light footed, balanced, correct dressage movements, amateur friendly “in your pocket” temperament, the right amount of energy, is brave, independent and a fast learner.  Given his bloodlines as well as his sire and dam, Raphael will have outstanding rideability and will also be able to jump.

Given how hard it was to find a mare like his dam Farina (aka “eye-candy") in Germany, we believe it will be hard for you to find one like her in the US. Not only is she an imported St. Pr. mare but she also is a German mare show winner (Beedenbostel), received almost exclusively 8s, has great talent for both dressage and jumping – and – comes from the successful Sefaza damline which has earned over Euro 326,000 in prize money to date. This line has produced 16 licensed stallions including Benetton Dream, Danone I and II, Der Designer (sold for 1.1 million Euro) and Winterprinz. Farina is a great producer. Her first colt, now eight, has won several dressage competitions in Germany with his amateur rider (beating professionals!) and is currently schooling pirouette, passage and piaffe. Her first filly, now seven, received her St.Pr.A. title in 2013, won her riding horse test in Germany in 2014, and was subsequently imported to Canada.

Rubinero is an imported, handsome black stallion with three high quality gaits, has exceptional rideability, and comes from outstanding bloodlines on his sire and dam side. His sire Rubinstein produced over 90 licensed sons, more than 170 St. Pr. mares, and his offspring have won over 2.5 Million Euro in competition. Rubinero’s dam passed her Mare Performance Test with an overall score of 8.36, including a 9.0 for her willingness to perform, canter, rideability, free jumping technique and a 10.0 for free jumping ability. Not surprisingly, at his 70-day test, Rubinero was second in the dressage phase with a score of 140.54. And contrary to so many current dressage stallions, he also earned 115 points for the jumping phase, earning him third place. This, along with the incredible scores of perfect 10’s for character and rideability. Rubinero won up to Prix St. Georges with his amateur owner in the US. Despite having limited breeding opportunities, Rubinero has produced several licensed stallions, multiple St. Pr. mares and foals selected for elite auctions and the German Foal Championship. Among his offspring is Regalize (out of a Davignon mare), a winner of the Team Silver Medal at the 2016 Para-Olympics. Check out this article where the famous German rider/trainer Wolfram Wittig praises Rubinero as well as Rubinero’s page at Hilltop Farm.

All our horses receive excellent nutrition and care to prevent OCD. We also work with our foals to ensure that they will be easy to work with (i.e., lead, load, stand for farrier, wash, clip).

Rubinero

Who doesn’t love a handsome, black stallion that offers three high-quality gaits, a gentleman’s character, and exceptional rideability? Rubinero is a special stallion that meets the characteristics in high-demand with breeders. Rubinero is very much a product of the stallion station, Gestut Vorwerk. His sire Rubinstein will be remembered as one of the great sires of the modern day sport horse. He has over 90 approved sons, more than 170 States Premium daughters, and his offspring have won over 2.5 Million Euro in competition. Rubinstein’s damline is particularly noteable. Antine is a full-sister to three-time Olympic competitor, Amon, and two-time Olympic champion, Ahlerich. The World and Olympic Champion Rembrandt is out of a full-sister to Antine and yet another full-sister produced the Danish stallion Romancier.

Rubinero’s damline was developed from many generations of Gestut Vorwerk’s breeding program.

Fabriano

Dr. Wilkins, managing director of the German Verband, calls Fabriano "one of the best performance horse producers of Hannover's breeding program today." (The Hanoverian - December 1999). Fabriano was winner of the 1990 Stallion Performance Test, placing first in jumping and fourth in dressage, Fabriano demonstrated his versatility which was confirmed in his offspring. Fabriano has the charm and good looks of his Absatz heritage, a particularly good wither and croup. His movements are rhythmical and flowing with excellent engagement of the hind quarters, a very free shoulder and an uncomplicated mind. Fabriano's daughters showed excellent scores in all categories of the Hanoverian Mare Inspections and Mare Performance Tests. His performance offspring have also performed well in both dressage and jumping, up to grand prix level in both, giving Fabriano excellent breeding scores in all areas. Video of Fabriano.

Donnerhall

The 2010 Hanoverian Stallion book records that Donnerhall has had 986 dressage competitors (212 at advanced level) – and even 94 in the jumping ring – for total prizemoney of €1,978,764. The most successful of these progeny has been the mare, Donatha S, who has won €159,512 followed by Don Schufro with winnings of €109,257. Donnerhall has an FN dressage ranking of 151, jumping, 79. His Hanoverian ranking is 158 for dressage and 74 for jumping. He is the sire of 48(!) licensed sons. Indeed there are those, like the trainer Jo Hinnemann, who believe that it is the second and third generations of Donnerhalls that will produce the goods: Video of Donnerhall.
